We’re commercially active in brownfield redevelopments, waste management and oil & gas sectors in UK, Australasia and Europe.

Job Overview

This role reports directly to the CEO & will involve shaping and building the finance function as the business goes through a sustained period of high growth with the launch and scale-up of new products and through entering new markets. The candidate will require knowledge of accounting, finance, and business principles, coupled with strategic thinking skills and the ability to formulate profitable decisions. The candidate should have assessment skills, including knowledge of financial performance indicators and risk analysis. The role offers a unique opportunity to work on the frontline of building and managing a rapidly growing business and the successful candidate can rapidly progress their career in-step with the growth of the company.

Job Details

  • Overall responsibility for the company’s accounting functions.
  • Production of monthly management accounts & KPIs.
  • Production of annual accounts and work with auditors on audit process.
  • Formulate financial strategy to support growth.
  • Prepare content for and manage special projects at the request of MD and Board.
  • Manage working capital requirements.
  • Maintain insurance company and broker relationships.
  • Ensuring financial targets are met and we operate within budget.
  • Responsibility to produce financial targets and budgets.
  • Responsibility for advising the board on all corporate finance matters.
  • Work with external advisors to ensure the company is compliant with applicable laws.
  • Build a team of finance team members as the business grows.


The successful applicant will be based in our Dublin, Ireland HQ.

Skills and Competencies

  • Accounting Qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
  • Relevant training/experience in ‘Big 4’ or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well across the organisation.
  • Problem-solving ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
  • High integrity and openness combined with a commitment to good governance.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.
